Berezivskiy district was founded in 1923 (Berezivka town – 1802). District is located in the Eastern part of Odessa region, spreads on 163 700 ha, 136 400 from which are agricultural zones (108 800 – fields).
District borders Mykolayivskiy district on the North, Shiryaevskiy – North-West, Ivanivskiy – South-West, Kominternivskiy – South,. It also borders Mykolayiv region on the East.
Berezivskiy district is located in borders of Prychornomorska lowland which is basically a plain that descends from North to East. It includes Tiligul, Tsarega, Balaychuk river pools. Berezovskiy district territory is located in steppe zone with moderate climate.
On the territory of the district a local landscape park Zavodivskiy was created. It is located near Zavodivka village. Its main purpose is protection of forest areas that have huge recreational role along Tiligul river. It was created by artificial planting of oak, aple, ash and other trees.
This park has become a home for many animals and birds. According to 2003 ecological research park is in a good shape.
